Following a tradition established by the Rev. Sherry Dunn, St. Stephen's offers church services with Holy Communion from the reserved sacrament twice a month at Manor Care Nursing Center. Twelve to fifteen residents and visitors participate in a simple service of scripture, prayer, song and blessing. During the past year Katherine McCall and Peg McCall have served as licensed Eucharistic visitors with assistance from Kathy Damm, Johnnie Heyliger, and Bob and Julia Stoddard. Once a month a similar service has been shared with the residents of the Monaco Ridge with Susan Palwick as Eucharistic visitor.
