The Altar Guild prepares the altar and sanctuary for two Eucharists each Sunday, bakes bread for both services, washes and irons the linens, and provides additional support for baptisms and memorial services. The Advent/Christmas season and the Lent/Holy Week/Easter season are particularly busy times as the special liturgies require additional service preparations. The greening of the church on Advent IV is an annual event open to all, coordinated by members of the Altar Guild. The baking of Eucharistic bread at St. Stephen's received special recognition in the January 2005 Diocesan newsletter.

The Altar Guild at St. Stephen's includes Jill Beesley, Janet Carver, Martha Easton, Judy Eisele, Barbara Goss, Caroline Hirvela, Peg McCall, Natalie and Rick Michaelson, Joanna Morris, Nancy Petersen, Sally Sapunor, and Janie Somps.
